Meet the Office of Student Activities and Involvement Staff!


Damon Brown - Director of Student Activities & Involvement 
About Damon
Responsible for daily operation of the Office of Student Activities & Involvement. He oversees all campus programming, including CMU Program Board and all SAI marketing efforts.

Damon has been at CMU since 1997. Prior to coming to Student Life in fall of 2006, he worked in University Recreation as the Coordinator of Intramural & Club Sports. He was responsible for coordinating a comprehensive Intramural Sports program that featured over 30 individual, dual & team intramural sports and over 25 club sports.

Damon received his M.A. in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University. He earned a B.A. in Business Management & B.S. in Sports Sciences from Ohio University.

Danielle Rossman - Assistant Director for Student Organizations 
About Danielle
Dani is responsible for assisting and supporting the over 300 student organization on CMU's campus. She also provides support for OrgSync.

Dani has been with Student Activities & Involvement since September of 2012. Dani received her Masters in Higher Education Administration at CMU. She is currently pursing a Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education. She graduated in with her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from CMU.

Katrina Crawford - Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life 
About Katrina
Katrina is responsible for assisting and supporting the 32 social fraternities and sororities on campus, as well as the governing councils and advisors.

Katrina has been with Student Activities & Involvement since August 2014. Katrina received her Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Arizona. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science – International Affairs from the University of California, Riverside.

Jeanette Smith - Administrative Clerk 
About Jeanette
Jeanette has been with CMU since 1999 in the Office of Minority Student Services.

She has been in the Office of Student Activities & Involvement since 2010, as the Office Professional.

Jeanette oversees our student support staff as well as the administrative functions of the office. Jeanette lives in Alma with her husband; has two grown children and two grand daughters also in the area.

Adam J Isley - Program Board Advisor 
About Adam
Adam is in his first year as one of the Advisors for Program Board. Adam is entering his second year at Central Michigan University and also serves as a Residence Hall Director in Emmons Hall. Adam received his Bachelors Degree in Human Resources from Davenport University and his Masters Degree in College Student Development from Kansas State University.

Chrissy Jenkins - Graduate Assistant for Student Organization Development 
About Chrissy
Chrissy is responsible for campus programming for SAI, including the Peer Involvement Advisors program, and the S.O.L.D. series, and assists with other SAI campus programs and events, including Get Organized, SAI Student Leadership Retreat, MainStage, Homecoming, and Siblings Weekend.

Chrissy began at CMU in December 2013 as a Success Coach in the Office of Student Success. She has been with Student Activities and Involvement since July 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education at Western Michigan University in 2005. She taught high school English for four years in Champaign, IL. She then completed a Master of Science Degree in College Student Affairs at Eastern Illinois University in 2012. Chrissy is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems at CMU.

Jordan J Borchert - Graduate Intern for Fraternity and Sorority Life 
About Jordan
I am responsible for advising a Fraternity governing council (IFC) and the Order of Omega, an honorary organization for Fraternity and Sorority members, as well as their respective programs or activities. Additionally, I am responsible for programs including Hazing Prevention Week, recruitment, risk management, academics, and awareness weeks/months/days.

I have been with Student Activities & Involvement since August, 2016. I am completing my M.A. in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Northern Michigan University, and I received my B.S. in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.

Charles E Mahone II - Graduate Assistant for Student Involvement 
About Charles
Charles is the Graduate Assistant that works with the Peer Involvement Advisor program as well as the Impact program.

Charles did his undergraduate work at Central Michigan University during which time he served as the Student Body President for two terms, a multicultural advisor, and a resident assistant amongst other involvements. He earned his B.A.A. in Political Science and Communication.

Charles is currently working towards his Masters of Arts in Higher Education Administration.

Tiara Woods - Graduate Student for Student Activities 
About Tiara
Tiara is a Graduate Assistant responsible for programming in the Office of Student Activities and Involvement. Her role involves daily collaboration with student committees to coordinate events including Homecoming, 1892 Productions, and Up All Night. She began her journey at CMU in 2013, and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in August of 2016. Tiara is currently pursing a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Human Resources.
