What is Siblings Weekend?
Siblings Weekend, or Sibs for short, is a weekend-long event. Central Michigan University students and their siblings spend the weekend enjoying laughter, activities, friendship, and the creation of great memories. Brothers and sisters are not the only ones who welcome at Siblings Weekend. Cousins, family friends, neighbors, and other loved youngsters whom students want to share the weekend with are welcome!
When is Siblings Weekend?
Siblings Weekend is February 3rd – 5th, 2012. Events last all weekend starting Friday evening and conclude Sunday morning.

Where is Siblings Weekend located at CMU?
The program spans across the entire campus of Central Michigan University. There are events in locations such as: Finch Fieldhouse, the Student Activity Center, Residential Restaurants, Bovee University Center and many more!
Where is lodging around CMU?
We encourage siblings to stay with CMU students. However, we have partnered with a local hotel, Mt. Pleasant Inn & Suites, to provide overnight accommodations for parents begin at a rate of $74/night + tax. Call 877-738-8715 for reservations. Make sure you request the CMU Siblings Weekend rate.
Who can come to Sibs?
Siblings Weekend is proud to accept students, siblings or other family members, and friends. Our only requirement is that participants are registered with at least one CMU student.
Do I have to bring a Sibling?
You do not have to bring a Sibling to join in the fun of Sibs.
When can I register?
Registration will be open from December 12th, 2011 to January 27th, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. Online registration will be unavailable after this date. Walk up registration will take place at check-in.
Where do I check in for Sibs?
Siblings Weekend check-in will take place in the Rotunda room located in the Bovee University Center. Check-in will be Friday, February 3rd from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. Late check-in will be Saturday, February 4th from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M in Finch Fieldhouse.
Is there a refund policy?
CMU Siblings Weekend is proud to have you join us on our campus for this amazing event. With so many participants we have to offer a No-Refund Policy with all of our registrations. If you have any questions contact the Office of Student Life or Siblings Weekend directly.
Is there a cost for Sibs?
Yes, they are fees to attend Siblings Weekend. Each sibling/participant is $30.00. Each parent is $10.00. CMU students are free as long as they accompany a registered sibling/participant. CMU students without a registered siblings/participant are $5.00. You can also purchase meal plans for all-you-care-to-eat meals in CMU’s residential restaurants.
This fee covers the cost of entertainment, special events, commemorative shirts and bags, all of which are directly enjoyed by participants.
How can I pay for Sibs?
Siblings Weekend online registration requires a credit or debit card as a form of payment. If you do not have access to a credit card we do offer a paper registration form that can be mailed in or turned in to the Office of Student Life. More information can be found here.
What is the Risk Liability Waiver?
The Risk Liablity Waiver is a form, cautioning parents and/or guardians of risks involved in participation with Siblings Weekend 2012. The Risk Liability Waiver is available at Registration Check-In or you can download it here and send it with your child if you are not bringing them. Please speak with your CMU student as to how they should handle an emergency, if one were to arise.
In order for every participant to take part in all that Siblings Weekend has to offer, a parent or guardian must sign a risk liability waiver for every participant in your party. By signing the bottom portion of the risk liability waiver, you are claiming responsibility for your personal well being as well as any other participants in your party. CMU students can sign this form but should understand that they agree to take on any responsibility for their siblings. This form can be found here.
How do I know I successfully registered?
Upon completion of the registration process, you will be directed to a confirmation invoice. A link to this invoice will also be sent to the email address that was put on the form. If you ever have any questions about registration or any part of Siblings Weekend, pleases have this invoice available so we are able to serve you better.

We are happy to offer everyone a chance to experience CMU Siblings Weekend, however our events are tailored to students and their sibs. To help offset the cost of the seat that a parent may take up at, we charge per parent, a $10.00 registration fee that does NOT include a shirt, bag, or special event ticket.
